Air Quality

Settle plates/Air plates

Air plates, or settle plates, have long been used to effectively assess the level of microbial contamination in the air.  After exposing the plates for 30 minutes, colonies obtained after incubation are counted.  Most commonly used to monitor yeasts and molds and/or bacterial loads, settle plates show how many viable microorganisms are likely to fall onto the product or surface over time.  They can also show how likely it is that the ambiant air is contributing or causing respiratory troubles.

Yeasts and Molds, 5-7 day incubation = $15

Aerobic bacteria, 2 day incubation = $15

Both plates = $25
